** YA groups can interpret education in the community in whatever way best serves their group’s needs and their community’s needs
** Groups interested in working on value-based education projects with youth in the community are encouraged to contact their regional EHV coordinators to receive training.
Tools:
1) Web forum to share resources, experiences, issues, pictures, and questions regarding service activities, especially education-based projects.
2) Service reflections journal to help us relate our projects to being Ideal Sai Youth.
3) Needs assessment workshop to help us better understand our communities and our YA group’s strengths when starting a service project. Can be administered at the regional level during YA retreats and/or at local group meetings.
Vision: Starting with small projects based on education in the community will help us to gain experience working with youth, assess the needs of our communities, and build relationships with local community members and organizations. The goal is to build unity and energy within all YA so we can come back from the WYC ready to embark on a national service project!
