Dear Sai Young Adult Sisters and Brothers:

Sai Ram.  We are now selecting Young Adult Regional Representatives and Adult advisors (male & female) to serve the next two-year term.  Each Sai young adult can nominate up to 3 names for each position in your region. (The form is below.)When suggesting names, please consider the summary of duties listed below.  Current officers who have not served two terms may be re-selected to serve another term.  You may also leave spaces blank for any positions.   Please note that male young adults can recommend names only for male YA representative and advisor, and female young adults can recommend names only for female YA representative and advisor.

Please complete this form and mail it to the address below by April 16, 2006 to allow us sufficient time for tabulation.

Young Adult Representatives (Age Range: 18 to 35)

• Administrate the young adult program as part of the Sathya Sai Organization, and encourage regular participation in regular organizational activities. 
• Are active leaders, who guide and encourage existing and new young adults and young adult groups in their region. 
• Ensure young adult group activities are aligned with organization guidelines.
• Share information and maintain close communication with the young adults.
• Schedule regional meetings, conferences, service projects and develop agendas as a team effort with regional advisors.
• Plan and implement young adult meetings and programs.
• Work closely with and seek advice and guidance from the Adult Advisors, Regional President/Officers, and National Executive body

Young Adult Advisors

• Advisors are to encourage the Young Adults in the region to become active members and supportive of their local Sai Centers.
• Advise and be resources, constantly keeping an eye open to make sure that projects and activities undertaken are in line with Sai’s teachings and are consistent with the guidelines for the American Organization.
• Be active and available and yet remain in the background.  Allow young adults to make decisions by themselves, since they learn best by practice and gaining experience.
• Work closely with the Young Adult representatives, Regional President, and National Executive body.

Please note that male young adults can recommend names only for male YA representative and advisor, and female young adults can recommend names only for female YA representative and advisor.  Only ONE (1) form per young adult.
