OM SRI SAI RAM!
The Sri Sathya Sai World Youth Conference, under the auspices of the Sathya Sai World Foundation, has been blessed by Bhagawan to take place on the 26th to 28th of July 2007. By Bhagawan's infinite grace a Sai International Youth Choir will be formed to mark this historic event.
We would like to invite Sai Youth who have an interest and talent for singing or playing instruments to join. We require between 15 to 20 singers and musicians from each Zone, aged 16 to 35 years to take part in this Sai International Youth Choir. The Choir will represent the International aspect of the Sai Youth from around the world focusing upon unity of all cultures and religions. It will be an expression of unconditional love for Swami. We are very fortunate to have leading the Choir Alma Badings who is a professional Musician, Conductor and Violinist.
The songs that will be performed will be in four part harmonies. Ladies and gentleman will be both divided into high and low voices. Sai Youth from all Zones will be further encouraged to contribute their own compositions made up of lively songs containing this spirit and essence univeral Love. Any Sai Youth wishing to submit their own compositions for review should kindly contact the Choir Conductor: Alma Badings.
Once these songs have been finalised the music and songs will be put onto the Internet, so that singers may practice before the auditions in Prashanti. Once the auditions are over the rehearsals will commence on 16th July 2007.

SAI INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CHOIR
INFORMATION FOR INTERESTED SINGERS AND MUSICIANS
As part of the many offerings to Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba during the Sri Sathya Sai World Youth Conference, we are delighted to inform you that a Sai International Youth Choir will be formed consisting of Sai Youth from around the world.
We are looking for 15 to 20 singers and musicians from each Zone, aged between 16 to 35 years to participate in this Sai International Youth Choir. The Choir will consist of Sai Youth from around the world irrespective of language, culture, religion and tradition. The songs that will be performed in front of Bhagawan will be in four part harmonies. Ladies and gentlemen will be both divided into high and low voices. (Please note that adjustments will be made by the Conductor – Alma Badings according to the balance in voices of our Sai Youth).
PERSONAL SONG COMPOSITIONS
Sai Youth wishing to submit their own written compositions should send lively songs containing the spirit of the Sri Sathya Sai World Youth Conference in 3 or 4 part harmony setting. The duration of your song should be at least 4 minutes. Please send songs to Alma Badings in MP3 files. Alma will thereafter select and put together a captivating programme which will be offered at Swami’s Lotus Feet. Deadline for submission is 20th March 2007.
MUSICIANS
We also require musicians who can play the guitar, base guitar, drums, keyboard, and violin. Other instruments may be added at the discretion of the Conductor. Musicians should send their C.V in musical experience to Alma.

SINGERS
All Sai Youth wishing to register and join the Sai International Youth Choir should kindly contact Chahna to register. Please also send any questions you may have directly to Chahna who will be happy to clarify any doubts.
Sai Youth who are interested in registering should send an email to Chahna (mynavati27@hotmail.com) containing the following 6 points of information:
- Name (used in passport)
- Date of birth
- Country and Zone
- Sai Centre
- Email address
- Voice kind (men high/low, ladies high/low)
- A short note on musical education and experience
- Date of arrival in the Ashram
- Flight confirmation

Confirmation will be sent to all Sai Youth who register within one week. If you do not receive a confirmation message kindly email again.
The songs for all music groups will be put onto the internet in advance. Choir members will receive notification when to download these songs for their particular voice group. All Choir members will have to prepare the songs in advance.
SUMMARY
- Auditions will take place on 15th July 2007.
- Rehearsals will commence on 16th July 2007.
- Performance will take place between 26th and 28th July 2007.
- Final date for registering: 25th May 2007.
- All questions concerning the Sai International Youth Choir will be answered by Chahna.
To be witness of this holy occasion is an exceptional great honour given to us by Swami. There needs to be maximum focus by all Choir members. Everyone must conduct themselves in a professional and exemplary manner. In order for us to make this performance a special offering of love, devotion, and gratitude to Swami, we must give it our topmost priority. At times you may need to miss Darshan or Bhajans whilst in Prashanti.
Let us prepare Swami a great musical celebration as a gift of our love.
